Simon will join our rescue next week, along with his yard mate, Kudos, from a rural Humane Society, where these boys were deposited after Animal Control officers confiscated them from neglectful owners. Simon and Kudos were left in the yard during recent blizzard conditions, for days on end with no food or water. Concerned neighbors were tossing over food scraps, until several complaints were filed with Animal Control and ultimately, these 3 year old, miniature Eskie beauties, were seized and brought to safety.
The boys have both had thorough vet exams and are in excellent health, albeit a bit thin and malnourished. Their coats are matted and stained, but nothing so dire that a proper grooming and change to healthy diet won't fix. Shelter volunteers have reported that Simon and Kudos have gentle, sweet personalities, but are a bit shy and timid around strangers. We will post behavior updates and new photos after they join our foster program later in the week. Simon and Kudos are scheduled to be neutered today and will be available for adoption after that. They have been vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and bordatella.
